My New Toy - An iPod Lover's Dream

The CTA Digital IP-HTS Grand Scale iPod Home Stereo System - an audiophile-quality home theater surround sound speaker system for iPod.

I ordered this as my birthday present to me. It was delivered yesterday. Once I finished the grunt work of putting the thing together, I turned it on and WOW! I was very pleasantly surprised, to say the least! The sound is awesome! It also comes with a remote control, so you can turn it on/off, skip to the next or previous song, and adjust the volume, treble and bass.

Updated on 2/18/2007 to add that even now, after about 6 months of use later, I am still very happy with this stereo, and highly recommend it. It's been one of the best investments I've made for my iPod.

A Bit of Blatant Self-promotion

I have a few openings in my life coaching practice for new clients. As a year-end special of sorts, I'm offering three months of coaching services for the price of two. I'm also now offering one-time individual coaching sessions for those who can use some coaching on a particular event or situation, but who aren't quite ready to commit to a full monthly coaching arrangement.

Also in the works is a two-part teleconference workshop on making and keeping New Year's resolutions, to be scheduled in mid-January, and an eight week Design a Life That Brings You Joy group coaching workshop, in which we'll work with Martha Beck's book Finding Your Own North Star.

My New Toy

Maxell P-13 iPod Stereo FM Transmitter I just bought this at Walgreen's this afternoon (on sale for $17.99) and am now listening to my iPod through my home stereo.

It broadcasts through four FM frequencies - 88.1, 88.3, 88.5 and 88.7. I tuned it to 88.7, and it appears to work fine. The sound is good, and the only time I get any significant static is when I move the iPod a few feet away from my stereo receiver. I haven't tried it in my sister's car yet, but it works fine on my home stereo.

Considering the low price of the item, I am very pleasantly surprised.
