This Week's Theme: Shoes

This week's Saturday Photo Scavenger Hunt theme is "Shoes":

These were in the "clearance" section of one of the local designer shoe outlets. Gee, I wonder why? Could it be because they're UGLY??? I'm old enough to remember when platform shoes were popular the first time around. They were just as ugly back then. Why would anyone want to bring them back??? I mean really, there are some fads and fashions that, no matter how "retro" they are, were just plain bad ideas that shouldn't be brought back - ever.

What's next??? Mall hair??? Huge, over-moussed, hairspray-hardened, shelf-like bangs that can poke your eyes out??? Shag haircuts??? The Jheri Curl??? The possibilities are endless!

LOVE the outfit! Believe it or not, this was during our recent NYC heatwave.

Who in their right mind wears a flannel shirt when it's 95 degrees out? The white socks and sandals really make the outfit, too!

Shoes of Death

One thing I'll never understand is buying shoes you can't walk in. The other thing I'll never understand is wearing shoes you can't walk in while you're out walking around the city with toddlers.

These two women were on the uptown E train the other afternoon. Not sure which is scarier - their hair or their fashion sense. The one on in the leopard print could almost pass for Rod Stewart.

I'm not quite sure what look she was going for here. Looks a bit like 'Debbie Does Paris'.
