Some of The Strange Ways People Find Me

I was reviewing some of the traffic statistics for As the Rose Wilts, and noticed that lately I've received an unusual amount of hits from Google search results. Of course this enquiring mind had to know what people were looking for when they ended up here, of all places. So, I checked and discovered that As The Rose Wilts comes up in the results for the following search terms:

  • what not to wear at a dollar store
  • Pictures of evil garden gnomes
  • warning label Children can fall into bucket and drown (Someone actually searched for this???)
  • crotch rope joy heroine (I'm still trying to figure out this one.)
  • boys have wieners (DUH!!!)
  • "dr. alter" 90210 episodes
  • "toilet seat cover" terry blue
  • telemarketer prank -"howt o prank a telemarketer" -mabe
  • Gary alter buries penis
  • "Jewish Millionaire Marries Dolphin"
  • diva shaver

Gnarly, Dude!!!

(click on the picture to enlarge)

A collection of surfin' dolphins from our friends at Family Dollar! Bet you didn't know dolphins knew how to ride a wave and hang-ten, now, did ya? I'm not quite sure how the snow globe roses fit in with the surfing theme, though.

My personal favorite is the one on the left, wearing the bright yellow t-shirt and the totally awesome shades!

Bizarre Religious Artifact

From my local Family Dollar store...

This is just so wrong, on so many levels.

I don't know which is worse, the thought of Crucifixion Color-by-Number, Help Jonah Get Out of the Whale mazes, David and Goliath Dot-to-Dots or the fact that Moses is in the same bin as H.R. Pufnstuf

I Did My First Phone Reading!

As mentioned here, I've started doing live phone readings and Angel Card readings by e-mail through Keen.com. I'm generally a lot more confident doing e-mail readings, because I can focus solely on the reading and whatever insights and messages I receive, instead of getting tripped up by self-doubt and feeling self-conscious. So, doing phone readings is a big leap of faith for me.

Last weekend, I had my first call. It was brief, since the caller was limited to her free minutes, but I was much more confident than I thought I'd be. I was actually pleasantly surprised at what I was able to do in the limited time I had available, and I really felt like I was able to help her with the issue in question.

My guides were definitely there helping me out, because just as I would start feeling a bit stumped as to what to say next, something would come through, as if someone were there prompting me. So, I thank my guides tremendously for not allowing me to sound like some kind of babbling idiot.

Operation Uplink

Operation Uplink:

"Operation Uplink is a unique program that keeps military personnel and hospitalized veterans in touch with their families and loved ones by providing them with a free phone card.
