This week's Saturday Photo Scavenger Hunt theme is "Colorful":
This shot was taken during a trip to the St. Louis Zoo in 2004.
This peacock was walking freely around the zoo strutting his stuff. As you can see from the picture, he was definitely not camera-shy!

And that's exactly why they say "proud as a peacock" because when they unfurl their tail feathers they are absolutely gorgeous!

I can't believe how many of you thought peacock for the theme - it's just cool that you shared the same idea~ I love the front shot - it's one you rarely see - more just photograph the feathers.
