As for why, I'm not entirely sure. Maybe he's just adjusting to having all this room to move around in, after being cooped up in the ASPCA for a month.
Don't get me wrong, the accommodations at the ASPCA were much better than I thought they would be. I remember hearing stories about animals in shelter cages, but the folks there do a phenomenal job!
However, you can't compare a small unit there to a whole entire first-floor apartment, now, can you?
